The Tool Maker class is an introductory skills class that will introduce and explore elemental alchemy.

Gain relationship, skills and insights as you connect with the elements of;

  • Stone

  • Bone

  • Wood

  • Fire

  • Bindings

  • Glues

  • Shelter

With the use of simple tools and time tested techniques we

  • Cut stick with stone,

  • Coax fire from wood,

  • Shape wood with fire,

  • Carve bone with stone,

  • Twist rope from wood,

  • Bind shelter with rope.

Using our heads and hands we will create a number of useful items such as stone blades, bone awls and needles,  rope and cordage, glue sticks and shelters.

With our hearts and voices we will weave an unforgettable story that you will carry for a lifetime.

The focus of this class is on Stone Age techniques but if you are new to these skills we will also give an introduction to metal knife, saw and axe use, safety and maintenance.

This class is intended as an introduction to Lynx’s teaching and lifestyle - due to Covid we have not run our regular summer program, but Lynx hopes to build a small community of likeminded individuals to stay in Norway over the coming winter and continue to build community, learn skills, and share knowledge. If you are interested in staying on in Blikberget after this class let us know and we can give you more details about this opportunity!
